Wingnut Dishwasher's Union - Burn The Earth, Leave it Behind

Hi I'm Juleon and I'll be posting (hopefully) a couple of times a week. Definitely e-mail me any requests or anything you have at Mellow2011@gmail.com. Now on to the music!

Wingnut Dishwsher's Union is one man, Pat the Bunny, playing the most amazing punk rock you will ever hear. An anarchist from southern Vermont he will definitely bring out the revolutionary even in the softest of souls. As one of my favorite albums I'm going to tell you that you have to at least try it if you are a fan of folk-punk, anarchist lyrics, or punk in general. As I was writing this I found out that Pat has entered himself in a year-long rehab program and may not play any music once he comes out so this might be the last Wingnut release ever.

Good first post. I was unaware that he was going through rehab and was quitting music and all :[

It's great to hear he's attending rehab. I've been listening to Johnny Hobo tunes for a few years now, and always loved them because I could all too often relate. I have a hard time imagining him quitting music; Wingnut was always more political than drug-addicted, alcoholic and empathetic like Johnny Hobo.

Pat's a great guy, but he's had a lot of trouble with drugs and alcohol in the past and stopped doing Johnny Hobo basically because it was self-defeating and that's not who he wanted to be anymore. I used to go to Johnny Hobo shows in high school whenever he was in town. He used to be good friends with a girl pal of mine.

Wingnut was awesome. I've seen Wingnut as a band and a few times as Pat playing alone, all treasured experiences. If he ever starts playing music again, which I don't doubt he will, we just gotta support the guy and give him lots of love. And if you ever make it to Brattleboro, Vermont stop by the Tinderbox for god sakes.

I have entered a year long treatment program for addiction. During this time I will not be able to send or receive mail. I'm sorry to people who ordered things and did not get them. It's very unclear whether I will keep playing punk rock music when that period of time is over. I wish that I knew more, but nothing is certain right now. Thank you for liking songs that I wrote, and helping me not feel so alone a lot of the time.
(pat the bunny)

I think this may have been a really sudden decision to go to rehab, or maybe something else is up.

well, damn. that's not too great, but yeah hopefully he gets better. Drug addiction is not they way to live any life. Here's to the rubble!

Mabe he'll just play another style other than punk cuz it doesnt say he's gonna stop playing entirely. It only says punk rock. ha but who knows. Much love to Pat the Bunny! Hang in there buddy!

@WWHAT?!?

If you search this blog for folk punk tags I'm sure you could find something similar to download. Ryan Harvey or Tom Frampton are both great places to start. Heck, get the split they did http://www.archive.org/details/ryanharvey_tomframpton_split

I know she has a cd (I have a copy). It's a little old, but there is newer stuff on her myspace. Maybe if you ask her, she'll send you a copy of the cd.

Hey I would really like to contribute to this blog. How would I go about doing that?

Did you guys ever get the information on Lauren Adam's music? I saw her and Sisters 3 play at a house party off Fairmount Ave near The Prison and loved her music. Any way I can get her stuff, I'd love it.
