Mercury Rev has been floating around since 1984 yet obviously hasn't broke into the mainstream music. I suppose that's better for us then. What you're getting is a mellow chill out music for those cold nights. Chaotic instrumental bridges and the power of Orchestral influences pour from the seems of these songs. I guess the best way to describe these guys is "dream pop" as much as I hate to use that tag. As mentioned, the band has been playing together for nearly 25 years now, and each of them has mastered a piece of musical genius. So sit back, grab a nice fancy coffee, and relax to the therapeutic sounds of Mercury Rev.
