The Heavy - Great Vengeance & Furious Fire

The Heavy have taken the raw roots of modern rock and elaborated them to a whole new level. What you'll notice right away is the gritty distortion of the instruments and the powerful soul of a blues singer. This band has taken the two things modern rock has been trying to purify and has twisted it into a metaphorical arm-bar, and it has never sounded better. The song "Colleen" is sure to get things rolling for The Heavy since it is featured in Burton's new snowboard DVD "It's Always Snowing Somewhere" (I did not find the band because of this though.) So before this song/band gets played out, I have brought it forth to you to enjoy and share.

Songs Worth a Listen: Colleen, That Kind of Man, and Set Me Free.

This is honestly amazing. it makes you wanna go down to the southern swamps and listen to some good ol' music.
