Here's a quick one I meant to post a while back. Saul Williams is one of the most recognized slam poets in music today, and a lot of that is (I think) unjustly due to the controversial release method of his last album, The Inevitable Rise and Liberation of NiggyTardust! While it was far from bad, I feel like some of his best, most ambitious work is displayed on Amethyst Rock Star, his 2001 debut album. Catchy, thoughtful, heated, and cathartic - don't let it slip into the background; it ain't that kinda music.
