Rosetta - The Galilean Satellites

The hulking 2005 debut album of Philadephia's Rosetta is one of the most ambitious "post-metal" releases of the decade; it consists of two discs - one heavy, one ambient - that can be played synchronously to produce a full auditory experience. It amounts to nearly 120 minutes of sludged-out art metal and post-hardcore, and while it isn't an easy listen, it's always an exciting one.
