Critically praised 1994 debut by the seminal New York "slacker jazz" outfit; an upright bass, drums, extensive samples, and leader M. Doughty's stream-of-consciousness lyrics make this album a very groovy, captivating listen. Sadly, they disbanded in 2000, but not before recording two more full-lengths. Don't miss the standout track, "Screenwriter's Blues".

P.S. - Troll, your comment about Melvins references in Juno is totally baseless. I think the whole movie should have been nothing but dudes and ladies discussing Melvins, with a little teen pregnancy mixed in for zest.
