It has been argued by many that post their Neon Ballroom album, Silverchair have become shit. The front man Daniel Johns had been battling a severe case of arthritis making it difficult to play guitar as well as he used to. I admit the Diorama album was less than average, perhaps because everyone had expected the same edgy group responsible for hits such as Freak and Anthem For The Year 2000, but I have been a long time fan of this group, and decided to pick this up. While I had been hoping for something a little edgier, the album still delivers some fine music with catchy tunes and solid vocals, to make this unique in it's own right. From the title track of Straight Lines to my personal favorite Mind Reader, Download it and have a listen. Thanks for the download. The sound may not be what I expected, or wanted from Silverchair, but there are still definatly some gems.
