Houdini is widely cited as the Melvin's high point. Since the Melvins was one of Kurt Kobain's favorite bands, he decided to co-produce 1, 7, 8, 9, 12 and 13 along with the Melvins. According to King Buzzo, he didn't do much but turn knobs and sleep, though. Kobain did help by playing guitar on Sky Pup and being part of the percussion in Spread Eagle Beagle.
