This two track demo, from Connecticut's MLK is raw, effecting and brilliantly put together. And that is why it is my
pick of the week. It has a lot in common with Kinsella bands while taking a harder edge, it also has the super 90s vocals-low-in-the-mix thing that I've loved for oh-so long. The songs have this frenetic urgency like they are somehow competing with themselves to fit as much emotion in as short a time as possible. And it works. Instantly arresting, my only complaint is that there isn't more.
