Tiny Letters - This is What Folk Music Will Sound Like When the Robot Overlords Destroy Our Acoustic Guitars

Dear followers, fans, friends, and such. I've lost my groove and am reaching out to get it back. I've decided that this month is going to finish off "strong" and I'll post all original free music sent in by the loyal fans themselves. Next month, be prepared for a wave of new music and hopefully I won't have tests that make me lose my mind and not want to post anything. I've been disregarding a lot of artists that want me to post their music and sticker orders. Sorry, I'll get to that this weekend most likely!

Here is a singer/songwriter from Phoenix, Arizona that plays simple anti-folk piano melodies. He's small, but his fan-base is large in his area. He doesn't do shows anymore, but I hope to see him up and coming regardless because his music is fun and simple and makes me feel good.

Spiritualized - Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space

Here's an album from 1997 that was released on the same day as Radiohead's OK Computer, one of my favorite albums. It beat OK Computer to win first place in NME's 50 Best Albums of the Year list, and is definitely worth a listen if you're a fan of Radiohead or Stereolab etc.

Note: this particular copy isn't the best of quality, so if you like it, hunt around for the 160MB version that mediafire wouldn't let me upload

Dialectrix - Cycle of Shadows

Another Aussie hip hop artist with smooth flowing lyrics about life's struggles. With the help of other more well known artists (to aussie hip hop anyway,) the album offers a variety of funky tunes and a new sound that is bound to see this artist become more popular in the coming months.

Violent Femmes - Violent Femmes

A moderately mainstream band for this blog, but I feel as if The Violent Femmes are underrated by a large margin. Many know this great band for simply "Blister In The Sun" claiming them as a one hit wonder and disregard the rest of this self titled album. I however, do not do this because I appreciate good music. Yes, the Violent Femmes are good music and I respect them having a strong 30 year run and sadly just breaking up in early 2009.
